Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan

A plan for fair play

The draft Parks and Recreation Strategy has been released for public comment!

The new plan is all about fair play – fair access to fields and facilities, - fair levels of support for our sporting clubs—fair provision of opportunities for all residents.

The new five year plan proposes a more involved role for Council in ensuring residents and visitors can be active and healthy, whether they play sport, like to walk, love the beaches, enjoy bush picnics or just like getting together with friends in our parks.

The plan recognises that although Council has limited resources, a range of partnerships with the community, schools and other agencies can deliver improved opportunities in local communities.
